J’accuse is the title of a paper collage made by Tadeusz Kantor in 1963/64. A vertical line and a horizontal one, creating an asymmetric cross; over the horizontal line there’s an emballages, an envelop attached to the paper with some adhesive tape crosses/intersections; we don’t know its contents. Odysseus’ figure going back his Ithaca, a silent figure, dead, sometimes a dummy, goes through a lot of Kantor’s performances. These two different images overlapped and, in our mind, they became the starting point for our J’accuse.

April 6, 2015 marks 100 years since the birth of Tadeusz Kantor – painter, set designer, art theorist and theatre director. In 2014 Paola Bianchi and Silvia Parlagreco started to work on five radio documentaries about Tadeusz Kantor’s performances. Their radio broadcasts were sent on Rai Radio3.
